You are given a 7x7 board but are given 15 two-letter words instead of 17 to 20. The computer version of Wordament is very similar to the phone version. However, any words you have made are removed. When time runs out, you are given up to 40 bonus points for any unused letters on the board. For each word you make, your score increases by 10 points. By sliding your finger around the board, you can make words along the edges and corners of the board. You are given a random list of 17 to 20 two-letter words. In the phone version of Wordament, you are given a 7x7 word board. There are two versions of the game: one for phones and one for computers. The objective of the game is to make as many words as possible from a random 300-word list before time runs out. The algo for finding the words needs a bit of a tidy up, it's bloated at the moment from my initial workings, I'll look at this next too.Wordament is a word game that you can play on your mobile phone or computer. It doesn't give the app the focus automatically. It really doent matter, just type in a number for these cells, you'll still win. It doesn't cater for the -ly, Lik- or XX type cells at the moment. You have type the grid in yourself - it doesn't screen grab.It excludes all words of 2 or less letters. The code uses a Scrabble dictionary that I found online. I then discovered that on the PC version you can "type" the words in, so SendKeys became an option. At this point I was playing on my iPhone, so "sending" the words to the app was pretty much impossible. However, even if you did this, you couldn't type them in fast enough to get position #1, or actually anywhere near. Initially I wrote a very basic, and hacky algorithm to just scan through the grid and find all words in a given dictionary and print them out. Guess what, I can now fairly reliably get position #1. So I thought I'd have a go at cheating myself. After playing Microsoft's Wordament online for a while, it became apparent to me that there is absolutely no way that the people who are coming in at the top of the leaderboards are playing "fair".
